Behavior Services

The mental health of pets is just as important as their physical health. Animal behavior is a special interest of the veterinarians and staff at East Carolina Veterinary Service. Our veterinarians and staff regularly attend meetings and continuing education courses to further their knowledge of animal behavior.

Some of the common behavioral problems that can affect pets include separation anxieties, fear of loud noises such as thunderstorms or fireworks, resource guarding, pet on pet violence, and other anxieties or fears.

It can often be beneficial to have a trained professional observe your pet in their home environment to better determine the underlying causes of anxiety or fear. We work closely with Linda Monico a certified dog trainer and owner of New Levels Dog Training.

If you feel your pet has fear or anxieties that may be affecting their mental health please call to make an appointment.
