Our Services

Preventative Care
Annual exams are essential for early disease detection, especially since pets can hide symptoms. We recommend yearly check-ups and fecal tests to keep your pets healthy and catch any issues early.
Heartworm prevention is essential in the southeast. Spread by mosquitoes, heartworm disease is fatal but preventable with monthly treatments. Annual tests ensure efficacy. We offer Pro-heart injections, oral chews, and topicals.
We provide vaccinations to help prevent diseases and to keep your pet healthy. Our vaccine protocols are based specifically on your pet’s needs. View our vaccine list.

Diagnostic Services
We conduct most standard lab tests on-site, ensuring quick results so your pet receives prompt treatment.
With advanced radiology and ultrasonography technology, we capture detailed views of your pet’s body. This allows us to detect complex health issues and tailor a treatment plan specific to your pet’s needs.

Surgery Procedures
We offer a wide range of elective surgeries including: spay/neuter, hernia repair, laceration repair, small and extensive mass removals, intestinal surgeries – removing foreign body material or obstructions, biopsies, cystotomy (remove bladder stones), abscess treatment, and ophthalmic surgeries (cherry eye repair, entropion, enucleation, eyelid mass removal, grid keratectomy). We do not offer cosmetic tail docking, ear cropping or declawing.
We also perform select orthopedic and emergency surgeries, such as knee and hip surgeries, pyometras, feline perineal urethrostomies, among others.

Dental Care
Dental care is very important and adds to the lifespan of your pet. We perform routine dental cleanings and more advanced dental care as needed.
Eye Care
We perform basic eye exams and assess for vision abnormalities. Injury to the eye can become very serious and should be considered as potential emergencies.
Pet Pediatrics
Early veterinary care and vaccine boosters are crucial for your pet’s health. At the first visit, we provide an exam, care kit, and vaccine schedule.
Emergency Services
We provide comprehensive emergency and hospitalization services during business hours. We are equipped with an isolation ward where infectious cases can also be hospitalized safely. If your pet requires a service we can not provide, we will refer you to an appropriate 24-hour emergency hospital.
If an emergency occurs during business hours, please call us immediately so we can recommend the best course of action for your pet. Unfortunately, our daily caseload may impact our immediate ability to accomodate all emergencies.
If an emergency occurs outside business hours, we recommend you contact the following emergency veterinary hospitals in our area:
1. Pet Emergency Clinic of Pitt County
2. Points East Veterinary Specialty Hospital
If you think your pet may have ingested a potentially poisonous substance, and we are closed, your best resource for any animal poison-related emergency, 24-hours a day, 365 days a year, is the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center (APCC) at (888) 426-4435.
Lastly, if you think you may have an after-hours emergency but are not convinced it requires immediate care, the Pet Emergency Clinic of Pitt County offers a telehealth triage tool through their website that can be helpful in deciding how urgent the problem is.
Pain Management
We offer cutting-edge pet pain management for underlying conditions, injuries, and during and after surgery.
Senior Wellness/Quality of Life Counseling
As pets grow older, their health needs increase. We encourage frequent health monitoring to catch diseases early and get the necessary treatment. We can also assess your pet’s quality of life and, when bad days outweigh good, discuss compassionate end-of-life care.
House Calls/Home Euthanasia
We offer home visits for pet care and euthanasia, and partner with Family Pet Cremations for end-of-life services and burial options.
Microchipping
Microchips provide permanent ID for pets, boosting recovery chances if lost. We use Home Again microchips and suggest combining them with other IDs.
